Your lawn mower is a high-powered machine, especially with the GREEN SCOTT AERATOR wheel installed. The aeration wheel is a moving part when the mower is in motion. It’s vital to dress properly to minimize the risk of injury—closed-toe leather shoes are recommended. Not dressing appropriately can create several hazards.

Always take the following precautions when using this machine:
  • Wear protective goggles or safety glasses with side shields to protect your eyes from debris.
  • Avoid loose clothing or jewelry, which can catch on moving parts.
  • Wear gloves when installing the Green Scott Aerator Wheel.
  • Use shoes with non-slip treads; safety shoes are ideal.
  • Do not operate the mower barefoot or in open sandals.
  • Wear long pants while operating your lawn mower.
  • Never make adjustments or repairs with the engine running; always shut down the engine.
  • Allow the engine to cool completely before installing the aerator, as lawn mower parts can be hot.
  • The operator is responsible for accidents or hazards affecting others and themselves.

Your AERATOR is a powerful tool, not a toy. Exercise extreme caution at all times. The aerator wheel is designed solely for aerating lawns; do not use it for any other purpose.

Safety for Children and Pets

Tragic accidents can occur if the operator is not alert to the presence of children and pets. Keep children away while the machine is in use or storage. Remove the Aeration Wheel when not used, especially in children’s play areas.

Always ensure children and pets are at least 50 feet away from the working area and under the supervision of a responsible adult. Turn the machine off if children or pets enter the work area. Never allow children to operate the GREEN SCOTT AERATOR Wheel.
